Dr. Manik Chhabra is a renowned international Physician Nephrologist, with a specialization in the management of Hypertension, Kidney Disease, Dialysis and Kidney transplants who has contributed extensively to the growth, development and training in the field of Nephrology.
He has treated patients with a variety of renal disorders, as well as those undergoing dialysis (hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CAPD) and transplantation. Presently he is working as an Associate consultant in, department of nephrology at Max Healthcare(Max super specialty hospital, I.P. Extension, Delhi) for the last 5 years.
He is also, actively involved in critical care nephrology and has vast experience with CVVHDF/CRRT and extracorporeal therapies in sepsis.
Dr. Manik is experienced in performing various procedures such as Femoral vein catheterisations, Internal Jugular vein catheterisations (Both HD catheter and Permacath), Kidney Biopsies, Pleural fluid tapping( Diagnostic and Therapeutic), and Ascitic fluid tapping(diagnostic and therapeutic) and has assisted in vascular surgeries like AV Fistula construction.

For the last 5 years, he has been working at Max Super Speciality hospital, post his higher education. He is an active member of unit 1 of nephrology and has vast experience in managing the OPD and IPD including critical patients at Max Hospital.
Previously too, he has worked with Max Super Speciality Hospital( one of the biggest corporate health care providers of India) from September 2011 to December 2012 as a resident in Nephrology where he worked at the dialysis unit included taking care of all the emergencies and medical requirements of the patients on dialysis and also managing the dialysis unit.
In recognition of his continued hard work in caring for the patients and increase in the number of dialysis performed Dr. Manik was elevated to Incharge Dialysis Unit during his term in Max.
They also had an active renal transplantation programme in which he was involved in the treatment and follow-up of transplanted patients.
Dr. Manik is actively involved in various educational activities and has been a speaker at various national and international level meetings.
